Rob and Megan’s Savannah wedding had what I can only describe as classic but kinda mod energy—effortless, intentional, and deeply centered on people. From the start of the day, it felt relaxed and meaningful in a way you can’t fake.

One of my favorite moments happened while Megan was getting her hair and makeup done. The room filled with the women in her family as they got ready together—sharing stories, talking about love, and laughing their way through memories. Megan told the story of Rob’s proposal, and the whole space felt warm and grounding, like a quiet ceremonial pause before the day really began. There was such strong, calm feminine energy in that room. It felt sacred without being serious.

I was fully obsessed with Megan’s details—her monogrammed hair ribbon and sensible stacked-heel ballet flats were the perfect mix of style and practicality. Urban Poppy absolutely nailed the vibe with an all-white bouquet featuring daisies—classic, understated, and very Savannah.

A Walled Garden Ceremony at Davenport House

Their ceremony took place at Davenport House Garden, one of the most tucked-away, intimate ceremony locations in Savannah. A walled garden ceremony just feels right here. Once you step through those curled iron gates, the rest of the city fades away.

Megan and Rob exchanged emotional, tearful vows surrounded by close friends and family. It was honest and heartfelt, the kind of ceremony where no one is worried about how things look—only how they feel.

A Laid-Back Reception at Cha Bella

The celebration continued at Cha Bella, where the party carried on in their own walled garden. Between the string lights and the garden swings (yes, even grownups used them), the whole evening felt playful and unforced.

Megan made her reception entrance in a corseted mini dress from Staud with delicate fingerless gloves dotted in pearls—cool, confident, and completely her. The couple practices veganism, and it was important to them that their vegan friends felt just as cared for as everyone else. Cha Bella delivered with a beautiful spread of vegan and farm-to-table options, while desserts were lovingly made by friends and family.

A Dance Floor That Actually Mattered

When Megan and Rob first reached out, they told me the most important photos to them weren’t the details or the posed portraits—they wanted photos of their friends and family dancing. And once the night got going, it made perfect sense why.

Cha Bella transformed into a full-on nightclub, with indie jams, sweaty hugs, and guests dancing until they were out of breath. One moment that still sticks with me is Megan and Rob on the dance floor—both of them dancing with total abandon. Even though they were surrounded by their people, it somehow felt like they were the only two in the room. Their joy and connection were impossible to miss.
